What do y'all drink after the dark beer orthodox season is over? I think we all still drink stouts but it definitely slows down when the temp rises.

It's still cold in a lot of the country, so stout season doesn't stop for a long time.

Where did you get that?

A friend found it at a HEB in Houston that must have released it early.

Finally seeing what the fuss is all about.

In south texas it ends in about 5 days.


It ends in as early as late March and as late as mid May in the rest of the country.

When my left hand milk stout keg gets kicked, I'll likely move onto a spring beer. It should last until march.

I don't really know the condo market in breck at all.. we just have a time share at this place and this was a week we needed use back from 2015. We picked this week cause my wife is off that friday. (we're renting out sun-thurs, we're using thurs-sun)

I know proudaggie has a condo in breck that he owns.. he's on the denver thread a lot

Got my vacation beer back home safe and sound, plus some unpictured extras of the Eclipses. Maui Brewing definitely has one of the most unique glasses I've seen. Looks great for a tiki drink, too.

A few of my favorite beers in one picture. City of the Dead is so solid, and the Reserve is good too. I can't remember if I've had Peach but Apricot de Brettaville is fantastic.

Agree that it'll still be stout season for a while, but spring I start to drink some Hefes and sours, really. It's those and stouts for me with others sprinkled in between.

I hope it's still stout season. I have a bottle of Rare that Jetch and Maca need to help me drink!

Are there B/CS craft beer places you can follow on Facebook for releases? The burleson HEB guy always posted when he got good stuff and held it for me.

Specs has a page. It's named 37College Station Beer Department or something similar. There is no space between the 37 and College in the name. That's for sure. My phone is being stupid and the facebook app crashes when I try to go to some of the pages. Eskimo Hut is good about posting what they have, same for Harvey Washbangers. Gogh Gogh Coffee is another one that does a decent job of posting what they have on tap. They carry some cans and bottles, but nothing usually that's hard to get. The HEB's here stopped doing their facebook pages.

No one really holds anything here in town. Most every store puts the beer out on the shelves. Specs does keep the really limited stuff in the back and you have to ask for it.

I will be taking a trip there about a month before you, so will be able to provide some up to date input.
