If you are with the family, I recommend heading up to Maui Brewing's Brewpub for lunch and flights of a lot of their beers. I took my wife and 4 year old there a few years ago and we all had a good time. It's family friendly at lunchtime.

This is definitely something we'll be doing at some point before we go. I was told a couple days ago that MauiBC just completed a $25m expansion, so I definitely wanted to check that out.

How is Big Bend Brewing? Headed to a wedding in Alpine in march and wanted to stop by the brewery while out there.
It's worth a stop if you're in Alpine. Their hours are kind of short, 4-6pm, so plan accordingly. For food, check out Reata (needs a reservation) and Bread & Breakfast for breakfast.
They are extending taproom hours in March.
And more importantly, the are going to bottle barrel aged Marfa Lights!!

I nearly picked it up, and it's cut off but they have the blueberry wine barrel aged something-or-other too. I'll definitely go grab them on the way to the airport. Thanks!

its solid to quite solid. like most baltic porters ive had in that it's less roasty and has more emphasis on dark fruit flavors than a RIS. I enjoyed and am glad I got one but don't think ill spend the premium price on more

Before going to TG, I had no idea they were so good at IPAs and hoppy beers. I really didn't know much about them aside from KBBS and Assassin were supposed to be world class. Every beer I have had from them has been excellent.

I wish I had seen those bottles to go. I would have brought one back. I'm also kicking myself for not grabbing a DDH Psuedo Sue. But yeah, they make great hoppy beers.
DDH Pseudo Sue was incredible. They had it at Rubaiyat. They may have had bottles for sale there, but I don't remember.
Brady at Casanova actually gave me King Sue when I was chatting with him about good beer and TG. Good dude.
