Made a quick trip to JK for BdBdB but Spon Flor stole the show. That may have been my favorite beer of theirs so far. Definitely top 5. I need to trade for a couple more bottles.

They had it when I was there recently as well, but were out of bottles to go IIRC. Tried it as well, and it was spectacular. Agreed on the Top 5 for JK.

I tried it too but unfortunately it paired in comparison to Flor. It was solid just like last year but my tasting of it wasn't fair since I was drinking them side by side.
Finally opened a crowler of Brash Black Masses. These guys are knocking it out of the park with their stouts.

Had a few beers with Hudson out at ABW today... Chatted it up with some of the bartenders as well. 1st off... They have no idea when the new taproom will open. Basically tried to do their own thing and not follow some of the permits (seems like an ABW thing to do). Gonna be sweet when it does open up.
If you can find their new Collab with New Belgium (Double Unicycle)... Buy it. Really impressed with it (don't typically like collabs). Will probably only see Austin distro with 600 cases. A new batch of Bloodwork should be out soon as well.

I've still got a number of data issues to fix up that are causing some areas to be underrepresented and I also want to move to a more flexible visualization tool (chose this for quick and dirty), but here is a map of the country showing # of breweries per 100k residents per county. I filtered out counties with less than 50k people, these show as gray. The scale should go higher but this is maxing me out on the number of possible bins for whatever reason. There are actually 48 counties with > 5 breweries per 100,000 people. Top counties:
Deschutes County, OR: 15.4
La Plata County, CO: 12.8
Boulder County, CO: 12.2
Watauga County, NC: 11.3
Larimer County, CO: 10.5

I'm also showing San Diego County, CA has 115 breweries, which is pretty insane. This is roughly the same as the top 9 counties in Texas combined (those 9 counties have a total population 4x San Diego County).

What's considered a second form of ID besides your DL? My passport is expired and has my old address. I emailed TG and they said anything a bank would accept. I'm still not sure what that means.
paystub works. bring the passport just in case.
Should still be acceptable. My passport has an old address and Canada didn't turn me away last year.

Lol, yeah, pretty wild. I have a friend in Austin who got selected as well and will be up there too.
