Stouts and porters

I'm looking now, and my stouts aren't anything that would be fair. I've got a DR14, a couple of cans of Cortado, an AB Noir and a KBS; nothing hard to get.

Picking up some to go food at Nobi, having a convict hill while I wait.

Was shocked at their selection in the coolers and then saw their shelf beers. Russian River, Cigar City, Paradox, Trinity, even had Jester King. Even get Hills and Grimm, but those go fast. Not sure about the salad bar, but the kimchi hotdog looked amazing!

Just got out to Jester King about 20 minutes ago, and this is the longest line I've personally seen. However, we and others think we're about 300-400 people back, so the hope is to score some Red Atrial and Spon on the quick trip up from Houston. Anyone else out here or coming today?

I was able to get out to JK yesterday about 5:45pm with no line for SPON bottles. It was a quick trip, but I was able to get a glass of SPON 1 on draft and I thought it was very good. The one major thing that I noticed about that beer is the amount of flavor from a beer with such simple ingredients: wheat, barley, aged hops, water, and some yeast from the air. I can't say I have ever had a beer with that much flavor and with such simple ingredients. No specialty grains! Needless to say I am impressed.

What else would anyone recommend for something similar that can be purchased in Texas?

Any interest in a Westy?

You aren't going to find many gueuze style blended lambics with easy availability in Texas. Hannsens has a gueuze that I can find at Whole Foods, Central Market and some Specs. I think Boon's Gueuze is decently easy to find as well. But the Cantillon's, 3F's and american breweries who make that style will be few and far between. I have to trade for most of it.

I would of done the AB noir and the KBS for the 375 SPON. Looks though like the KBS is gone.

People have failed me so I am in the market for Spon 750s.

Red Atrial was pretty ****ing fantastic. Looked like everyone who came by noon or so was able to get theirs, but the weather was so perfect, the four hours in line really didn't feel so bad. I couldn't really tell much difference in the SPON variations, but we managed to try them all.

Shouldn't have. I'd guess 500 bottles or so of 750's and 375's left.

Just got back from JK and picked up more SPON. They did not have any of batch 1 but had everything else. I got there right before close
