I had Aurora on tap and didn't dislike it.

Grabbed a 6 pack of the ballast point pumpkin scotch ale because the female likes pumpkin beer and im really picky over pumpkin beer, so if i dont like it, it wont go to waste. Its a style that everyone wants to brew but hardly any of them get it right. theres a few i really love like whole hog, pumpkinator, funky pumpkin, and buff bayou pumpkin spice latte off the top of my head. Pumking and warlock are good too, just a notch below the others. Most everything else pumpkin beer is either crap or forgetable imo.

Anyway apparently its priced on that tier with sculpin, VaS, etc which i didnt realize til it was too late. Kinda high for a pumpkin scotch ale, but ballast point knows how to get an extra couple bucks off you i guess. Its pretty good but nothing special, and at the price i doubt it cracks my rotation. Really i just need that whole hog to come back and im set for the season on pumpkin, save maybe a couple of the aforementioned bombers.

I like No Label's Nightmare on 1st Street a lot. Doesn't hurt that they moved to selling it in 4-packs and are charging the same as what they sold their bombers for last year.

Im a pumpkin fiend. If someone prepared hickory smoked child corpses over a bed of possum skins and topped it with a pumpkin spiced sauce, id be in.

Even so, i still find 95% of pumpkin beers to be trash. The other 5% is my **** though

My favorite Pumpkin Beer is Dog Fish Head's Punkin Ale. I get it every year and save one bottle to compare with the next year's batch. I also liked a pumpkin beer by Jolly Pumpkin La Parcela.

I bought tickets but my job might get in the way.

Well done! How were the temps? It's been awhile since I did HHH, but did see well north of 100 one year. That 98th beer mile was always tempting.

Plowing through a few of these tonight... Really still not sure if I like it or not. Cucumber is super strong.

I didn't know that was a thing. I'll have to look for it.
