Most people in the Austin area said this was just as limited as the abyss. I had a much harder time tracking it down than the abyss, though.

I picked up a bottle of Karbach BBH 005 today at Specs. I'll probably pick up 2 or 3 more bottles to age. I saw on Facebook that nothing is different between 005 and 003. Just another batch.

Founders Centennial. Very smooth drinking - almost tastes like a pale ale despite being 7+ ABv

We went to Growlers, they had a case. But there is supposed to be more when the IRS is delivered here.

We stopped by Maui Brewing Co today for a bite to eat and some beers:

Otis Redding - Irish red ale (yo me gusta)



As we were closing out (we had a very tired 4 year old on our hands), the waitress mentioned a rare bottle list for craft beer week and asked if I wanted to see it.  I asked what was on it, and she said some rare Belgian sours.  As my eyes lit up, my son decided to let the whole brewpub know that it was time to go...so I told the waitress I'd pass and left before the reality set in that I was an idiot for not rolling out by myself like I usually do on these adventures.  Sigh...time for a few lava flows and Napa cabs!

Founders Imperial Stout - pretty good, big time stout
Karbach - Hop Delusion - very good, and I'm not a huge Karbach fan like some people on here (besides BBA Hellfighter)
Saint Arnold - Bishop Barrel 3 - big let down, not bad, just not impressive

Rampant! a little bit more pine forward than the offering from Saint Arnold, but the hint of peach and grapefruit dominance may mean I have found a substitute when I need a sixer...

I thought for a long time SA should sell endeavor in four or six packs of 12 ounce bottles, but now I may not need them to... for me it's not quite up there with endeavor, but it's dang close and close enough in a pinch or when I don't want to finish off an entire bomber
