Totally. I don't lead the "whalez lyfe" like many of my idols in this thread. But I am such a **** for a drinkable, dank, citrusy IPA in a can.

Made it out to Southern California for a 1 day trip this week. Not a lot to find in Oxnard, California. I did come away with some lost abbey, Firestone Walker, belching beaver, and modern times. The only problem when you hit the store up after a few beverages, you end up picking up the wrong modern times.



Ended up following directions after I re-read the can. Oops.

had a nebraska chardonnay barrel aged hop anomaly. my initial thought was that maybe there was a bit too much going on, with sort of an identity crisis... sort of a tripel trying to be a Belgian ipa, plus the chardonnay notes... but as I drank more I really warmed up to it as it sort of smoothed itself out to me. granted there really is a lot going on (including a mountain of foam upon pouring)- it's sweet, fruity, crisp, and no doubt interesting. when it's all said and done though, i really enjoyed it. just had to wrap my mind around it for a minute I guess
