It may not be much higher but you're talking about what I would assume is one brewery's base option, at least in Texas, versus limited releases that you often times have to be in Austin to get on the weekend they release.

The $/oz argument for Cascade is worthy but I really wish they would offer 12oz or 500 ml packaging so the sticker price wasn't so crazy. It also makes more sense for me since I can't drink a bomber by myself.

Honestly, the hype surrounding JK is a little absurd but it's there for a reason. I just happen to live close and love their beers so showing up after the line is gone to grab one or two is easy and fun for me. I also love supporting a local brewery that cares about their craft to the level they do. So for the small amount of beer I drink, I'd rather go to a little more effort to buy and drink their beer over a Cascade or something similar.

I saw a Sang Noir in a Boston Bottle shop last night for $39.99. That's ridiculous.

I didn't like Sang Noir that much, but I'd probably pay that for a bottle of Sang Royal if I ever stumbled across one.

I paid $33 for my sang royal.

Not sure what the difference is.

I believe Noir is bourbon and Royal is port.

Same. I've tried almost all varieties now and this was my least favorite.

One of my traders is in St Louis complaining about the lack of good beer (among the lack of other culture there). I give him Side Project's info and he agrees to go drink there and bring me back whatever he can...and he then changes his mind to go to a baseball game. ****.
