He came in at 8 lbs, 13 oz and 22.5 inches. Don't think these newborn diapers will be used long.

The pertinent question is what bottle to open in celebration when we finally get to go home.

Big boy you got there! Our little girl came in at 7lbs even and 21". She's going to be a basketball or volleyball player, I think. She was up over 8lbs last time we saw the pediatrician.

I opened a JK Autumnal Dichotomous from last year when we got home!

Not a bad idea at all. When my best friend's twins were born, we shared a beer at the hospital. He brought a soft sided cooler with the beers. Felt weird at first but who cares. /ib4thatswhatshesaid

I don't think it would be inappropriate to have a celebratory beer in the hospital. However, I haven't found a decent chunk of time when I could have some time to enjoy the beer. Only time I found to relax was late at night. By that point I would rather be sleeping than truly enjoying a beer.

Hub, what is AWA, American Wild Ale?

Are stouts you're number 1 favorite? What's an 'adjunct' in stout? Like Double IPAs? Barrel aged stout okay as long as not rum or tequila?

AWA = american wild ale and just and attempt at not overusing the "sour beer" label. But I can change it to sours.

My preferences aren't in any particular order.
DIPAs are great
Love all other types of BA other than Rum and Tequila
Adjuncts are stuff like coffee, vanilla, coconut, maple syrup, etc.

By the way, I was thinking about this today. Has anyone ever considered if it would be possible/worth it to hire someone from Favor in a city with an independent brewery to pick up and ship a beer to you? I feel like it would be perfect to have someone who has no ability to mark up value get beer for you.
