Anybody done a brews cruise? My aunt and uncle are doing an Alaskan that is put on by Rogue. A week filled with beer dinners and pairings, and a brewpub on board. A craft beer centric cruise. I need to do this.

Price includes beer and food, with a funny caveat: *up to 15 drinks per day.

My bartender at the Holy Grail is convinced the Tropical/Fruit Pale Ales and IPAs are going to be the next big one in craft beer.

I'm not a huge fan of them, but that Tropical IPA from the Sierra Nevada Beer Camp was pretty tasty.

I had that one as well to keep investigating the genre so to speak. Good beer, always like to see what beer camp ends up being each year. The one a posted from boulevard is so very different. It reminds me slightly of their tank 7, a farmhouse or saison style. The fruit isn't really a flavor, it's more an afterthought. Altogether different from so many of the infused fruit style beers out there that are just nigh undrinkable.

Don't get me wrong though, I love a good barrel aged stout ( I have the bcbs, karbach, temptress)... But my current fave is the BA legion from community. I agree however, these kinds of brews might be a new big hit for craft. A total curveball among the stout and porter coffee and bourbon and different enough from the stable of IPA's.

Speaking of SN, saw that they put out a gose in six packs. Don't know anything about it though.

It's not bad. I picked up a single a week or so ago. I may grab a six pack. Odd timing on the release though. I think of it as a summer style of beer not really a winter beer for me.

People are already checking in to it on Untappd. Most of it looks like on tap. A buddy of mine had it on 1/28 in the Austin area (labeled BBH Chocolate Cask).

I wanna say bottles go on sale the 8th, at least that's what I've heard. but yeah supposedly it's available on draft now

Ahh, reminds me of thanksgiving 14. Man we killed some beer that night. Just 3 of us. These plus a woodcut and another Belgian quad.

Sounds like you get down here as much as I get back up there. We didn't even make it up for Christmas. First time ever I missed the holidays up there.

That looks absolutely glorious. Some of my favorite beers ever come from those 3 breweries. Can only imagine what kind of goodness comes out of that meeting.

how is 2015 dissident? I'm probably gonna buy it regardless, but I could be talked out of it being $19.
