Central Market in FW has KBS...

Anyone heard word of Houston KBS releases yet? Been checking the Twitters and nothing yet.
quote:I am ashamed to admit, but one year I learned that Specs got KBS in so I rushed over to grab some with really little knowledge of what I was trying to get my hands on.

A lot of the beers mentioned in this thread are hard to find (and expensive). Like Moxie said, your best bet is just to keep trying things to see what you like, and keep an open mind to what you don't. There was a time that I didn't like IPAs. They are now far and away my favorite. I would also recommend finding local breweries and just trying what they offer. Karbach and St. Arnolds have some excellent options. Its a great way to support small local business. St. Arnolds Divine Reserve is a Houston beer that is mentioned a lot on this thread. Also Ballast Point's Grapefruit Sculpin is a great one from San Diego.
quote:Petrol Station
When Founders was first released in Texas (2013?) we wandered by Petrol Station for lunch. I found it odd that there were folks waiting outside for the place to open. I ask what's up and they said KBS release. In line we went!

Hey all, I'm a rookie to the craft beer world, but I'm trying to learn. So far a couple of my favorites have been Stone IPA and Karbach Weekend Warrior. I know there's thousands of beers out there, but I was wondering if someone could tell me what some of the most common answers on this thread have been.
quote:I saw a **** ton of Yellow Rose at HEB today and thought of you guys. As far as what JK offers, they've done a good job at keeping the website up to date. Hell, the worst case scenario is you go and have some good beers on tap.
Is Jester King releasing anything special this weekend? I may be in Austin on Saturday and was thinking about swinging by if it won't be a total ****-show.
Will it be reasonably possible for me to pick up a sampling of JK bottles to check back home? I only see a couple on their ToGo list.
