BCBS did not make it to the HEBs in Boerne or Bergheim. Guess I'm out of luck this year.

I was on the retail side of Black Friday today and missed out on the BCBS train. But I did get out early and got the new ABW Heavy Machinery English IPA, some Community Legion RIS, and the Deschutes Chasin' Freshies. Nothing super crazy, but all pretty tasty.

Not a trade. A lottery it forward on TB. I guessed closest to the guy's check ins at some beer fest. The growler is a ba barley wine. That and the Darkness were the prizes, the rest were extras.

Against my doctors wishes and all sense of practicality, the jackass that I am ordered one more beer, this time off the reserve list...a Batch 4 Temptation 750ml from about 5 years ago. Honestly, I didn't need another beer but I just couldn't pass this up. I even had to give some to the table next to us because I couldn't finish it. But I will say this, being a jackass sure does have its privileges sometimes...




As yall know, RRBC is one of my favorite breweries and a place that I used to visit often. Sure I can't drink wine and beer like I used to but being back there takes me back to the good ole days, if only for an hour. The best part was that I was with my family, a trip I hope to take many more times with them. Life is indeed good. So happy thanksgiving everyone...and cheers, *****es!

This was th prize of the lottery it forward I won. A barrel aged barley wine that was released in April. Yep, the guy who sent it to me has sat on this sealed growler since April. This stuff is amazing.

Bourbon County Stout on draft at Dr. Jeckylls in Arlington. No growler fills allowed, just pints and 6oz tasters.
