First victim...Southern Star Blind Ambition. Nice clean grassy and biscuity. Beautiful but lots of floaters in the glass for some reason. 4/5

Nothing wrong with it getting some age. Just curious. I was always hesitant in picking one up and now I wish I had.

Clean pine nose, pine bitter with some dark cocoa, a finish just a tad resiny to stick just enough. As it warms, roasted coffee adds in.

A really nice clean finish...doesn't plaster your mouth with hops, but they stay long enough to appreciate as the malt and cocoa/coffee fade.

Currently the consensus leader in our house among today's brews... Lots better to come

Some Sucks while starting dinner. Tough to beat braised short ribs.

it's good.. I wouldn't likely buy it again for myself at the price I am sure they charge, but happy to drink it as a gift.

Debating on if I should open my 002 frageelay or an 008.

008 is LIGHT on the barrel ... Almost like just drinking Yule.

Liked the 002 originally much better. I've had several 008s for the sake of availability this year.

003...Holy crap...still developing as it warms and evolves, but this is one fine mother of a beer...



bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, raisinettes, molasses...Beautiful aged a year compared to 007 which one week ago was overwhelmingly all bourbon and heat.


Really wish I had another bottle to savor in six months, and contemplating seeking out another 007 to age.

Chris, that BBA Hellfighter is good ****. Had some Fra-Gee-Lay earlier. Very nice, but I like the regular better. Now just drinking bourbon. I'll get back into the beer later this week.

I wish I would have picked up another 003, I have 005-008 in the closet at the moment, but I only have one 005 so I think I will probably wait until this summer to open it. Im really jealous of the 003.

Also snagged a BB Temptress and a Choklat that I've heard good reviews on. For those in North Dallas, S&K Beverages in Plano has BBA Temptress, limit 2 per customer.

Choklat is really solid... Unless you don't like chocolate... it's rich and all what the name says...it's great, and if they ever BBA that stuff it'd be a real winner.

btw, finally glad to have had a southern Tier brew they didn't disappointe like their IPAs have

Cloudy goldenrod with thin white head. Nose wheat and a hint of lemon with a whiff of honey. Wheat and honeysuckle taste, a bit off the beaten path for sure with an odd sweetness that is almost artificial, perhaps influence by the salt. Not altogether palatable to me. Salty, oddly sweet, and a peppery finish...not for me.

Glad I had four other peeps to split this with. dunno if I will finish my 4 ounces

Which is better?? I have one bomber, but can't decide whether to have it now or age it, since I'll have nothing to compare it to if I drink it now and can't find another 2013, but won't be able to compare to original if I wait.

Chris, 2012 is amazeballs good. 2013 is pretty damn awesome too. Just not quite as good. Drink it with no regrets.
