BTW, according to the FAQs I posted, I should be able to trustee for any number of people.

BSD: Too bad on the BA Hunaphu. I will be picking up a bottle of Brandy BA next week thanks to my lucky wife winning the CCB lottery.

Screw it. I'm in for one year! A BA Hunaphu is included so I'll age that and have it for my special occasion drink in a few years. And Hub, you and your wife should play the lottery or go to Vegas or something!

A couple of thoughts from yesterday...

If you happen to find yourself in Austin/live in Austin, Adelberts is certainly worth the trip. 13 bucks got me a sweet tulip glass and 6 5 oz. pours. The taproom is plenty big and they've got foosball and darts set up. Honestly, I enjoyed my time there more than JK.

Busted out the Alaskan Raspberry Wheat last night and would highly recommend that as well. It's a fruit beer, so it is pretty sweet, but really great for a hot summer day. It doesn't quite compare to NG Red and Raspberry Tart, but it's pretty darn close. Also, had my last Dayman last night as well. Everything had started to really blend together. I wasn't nearly as big of a fan as when I had it fresh.

Finally, my last Pliny was opened last night. I've decided I really, really need to find a way to get this on a regular basis. Thanks again to NColoradoAG.

The raspberry wheat is good for a fruit beer. Whole Foods in Katy has on tap, $11 for a 64 oz growler, much more reasonable than the $9 bomber.

Been wanting to drink a bottle of this for the past few weeks now only to not be able to find it anywhere. Then I remembered I had a box of Cali beer I had stashed away in my buddies basement right after I moved here. Definitely my favorite RRBC sour

What is a good beer store to stop in at. I am looking for Uncle Jacobs and Momi Hiwa?

where will you be? Tipsys is on west side, there's a huge place on 25 just north of 470, Lukas liquor is on south side near park meadows.
There are big places all over really.

I saw a few of you post about wanting more 0f the 004 Roll in the Hay. I just got my hands on a few more. Anyone looking to trade? I can store and ship at a later time if needed for those not in the Cypress/Katy/Houston area.

62strat,

I am not exactly sure where in Denver we will be. It is my wife's friend and she moved into a new place.

Are you able to find Uncle Jacob's and Momi Hiwa right now?

Thanks

Momi will be long gone. In fact, I think it's already gone.

You might have luck with Uncle Jacobs. Let us know some more detail on where you'll be and me and Strat can give suggestions.

Uncle Jacobs will also make it to Texas and most other states where Avery distributes.

Momi was a little over 200 cases, 150 of which were sold at the brewery.

Uncle Jacobs was 850 cases, 200 of which were sold at the brewery.

I will be in Pensacola for a week. Are there any beers I can get there I should try? I like Belgins,Trappist ales, browns and wheat beers; not a big fan of IPAs or saisons

Not too familiar with Florida, but Cigar City is out of Tampa and Terrapin is out of Gerogia. They both get great reviews.

I'm finally trying my Ballast Point Victory at Sea. It's very good, have yet to be disappointed in any of their beers.

Drinking a Stumptown Tart...it's okay. I think I liked last year's offering better.

Falcon, unfortunately you are going to.struggle finding local belgian styles. You are limited to Saint somewhere, a tampa brewery, that should have distribution in the panhandle. I have not had one of their beers to give any recommendations.

Cigar city is the most well known florida beer. The jai alai ipa is phenomenal (heavy citrus, minimal bitterness) and worth a try even if you aren't a huge fan of IPAs. They also have a maduro brown ale in cans which is solid and the cucumber saison may still be on shelves. After having it, I would leave it there. There may be a few Cubano espresso brown ales on the shelf that I would recommend. The next big seasonal for ccb is likely Marshall Zhukov, but a release date has not been set.

Sweet water and terrapin are solid Georgia beers. Terrapin dos cocoas should be getting distributed soon and sounds really tasty.

Other breweries of note that I don't think distribute to TX are bell's, Ft Collins (love their double chocolate milk stout), and hoppin frog.

Always tough decisions at my Uncle's house:

So I just have a half pint of em all

And this is always fun to pull out. Can come up with puns all night. As my Uncle said 'My wife always has some big black dick right before going to sleep.'
