I just popped in on the thread after being gone for a long time and at the top there was the tail of a discussion on Santa Fe's Chicken Killer barleywine. I had that a few weeks ago.

and thought it was pretty decent, especially for the price. The point I wanted to add in case it was not already mentioned (did not read everything) was that Santa Fe also produced a bourbon barrel version of Killer. I should have picked it up but never got back to the store. Oh, and the store was ALL craft beer and in El Paso. Primo's by UTEP. Good place to stop if you are in town. Further down the road is Hoppy Monk which is a terrific craft beer bar.
