One quick mention of one that he missed, if you like Belgians, look no further than the Cheeky Monk. a couple blocks east of the capitol. A good 25 or so belgians on tap, all served in proper glassware.

And their lunch happy hour is half off all drafts, I think like 12-3 or so. Lessens the sting.. most pours are pushing $10.

Polished off my growler of Hop Delusion and a couple of 3Beans last night.

Really enjoyed both, but did not make for a good morning.

This is true. I only listed the places I've been to. Cheeky Monk, yes, also very good. The mussels there aren't great, but they sure do taste good with a pour of Gueuze. The downtown location is a bit shady, but Jock07 is a big guy so I'm not worried about him. There's also a cheeky monk way up on 144th Ave and I25 you can hit if you're going up north.

KBS has made it to BCS. Also a new shipment of DFH 120 minute. And still some bottles of BBH available too.

Looks like I know where I'm going for lunch.

Dave, I got all that at the Towerpoint HEB. I figure Specs has it too, but just FYI.

I picked up a 2012 120 the other day at the local liqour store. I figured it's aged for a while now and want to see what it's like after it's settled down a bit.
Oh and thanks for the tip on Cheeky Monkey. I'll have to check it out. A little dissapointed in the lack of beer bars down here in Colorado Springs. So far I've only found one on the interwebs, brewer's republic, that looks decent. Other than that Old Chicago probably has the best offerings

had a Green Flash Hophead Red at BRC during lunch today that was nice. Also took home a bottle of Bishops Barrel #2 (the only one they had) since i hadnt tried any of the BB Saint A offereings yet. is #2 the cherry one everyone was crying about? probably....

I was driving through Michigan yesterday and made pit stops at Founders and Brewery Vivant.

I was disappointed in Founders, they didn't have anything to taste that I can't get at any liquor store in Chicago except a nitro pour of their pale ale.

Vivant was great, they had their 4 regular brews, 4-5 seasonal beers, 4 rare/specialty beers, and a couple of casks. A few misses, but overall lots of great stuff.

Also, Founders KBS is sold out of the Wm D Fitch HEB, but Specs and the HEB on Holleman "might" still have some.

Seems like I'm always just a little bit late making it to Tower Point in time. Barely missed out on The Abyss and today I narrowly missed KBS. I wish they would have sold it in singles instead of 4 packs so maybe it would go a little further.

They were selling them as singles for $4.99 a bottle. I got 2 bottles.

Here's a tip for you all that seem to end up missing out on the limited release stuff. New beer shipments arrive on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It pays to get to know the local beer guys at your neighborhood grocery store or specs/liquor store.

For those looking for KBS the specs on Texas has them in the back in singles if you ask. And the HEB on Holeman has 9 120's on the shelf just sitting in the single bottle section. I'm kind of surprised they just put them out like that.

St. Bernardus Abt 12...always a winner.

Picked up some of the DFH 120. Been looking for them for a long time in these parts. Thanks for the info on here that led me to them.
