Nashville weekend: Jason Isbell at the Ryman and a chill Saturday at Southern Grist.
Here's my cheering for a sinkhole beer.
Might have set the bar high for O's first concert with Isbell.
Apparently it's been 7yrs since we've been to SG, and it doesn't disappoint. Weather in the 70s watching football on the patio.

The grapefruit is my favorite. I was in Tucson working and the Costco there had 6 packs (16oz cans) for $9.99. I bought as many would fit in my suitcase.

That is awesome! I went to one of his Ryman shows in 2022 and it was absolutely a bucket list experience that lived up to the hype.

Apparently Amanda played a show in Nashville on the opening night of his residency. Yeah, that wasn't a coincidence. We might make this an annual trip. The show was so damn good! Even got a Hatch print.

I went to the last two shows they'll probably ever play together back in May. Red Rocks and Mission Ballroom in Denver.
I am a fan of both. If I hadn't already travelled to see them this year, I probably would have tried to go to Ryman and also catch Amanda's show.

Jealous. If I hadn't gotten lucky on getting tickets to the Eagles at The Sphere this weekend I would have made the trip to Nashville this weekend. His Ryman shows are hard to beat.
Word on the street is the Sturgill shows right now are elite. If you get a chance to see him, you should do it.

First night in Boston. Enjoying my first Sip of Sunshine on the bathroom floor while the wife nurses the 10 month old. I've had worse beers in worse places.
Not as good as I remember.
This is pretty good. My favorite of the beers Real Ale has released in this Alpha Series.

Out in DC metro area this week any good spots other than church key? Staying in Clarendon.
The Roost in Capitol Hill. Cool food hall where you order on your phone and they bring anything from any stall to your table. Shelter is the beer bar inside that is from the Churchkey people. More laid back outside vibe though.
Other Half brewery in Ivy City.
Bammy's in Navy Yard for killer jerk chicken and rum punch while sitting outside on the water. Salt Line if you want a similar outdoor vibe but with seafood and beer.
Can't go wrong with some oysters and an Evolution Lot 3 American IPA from Maryland at Old Ebbitt Grill too.

Highland Park Brewing won 4 golds at GABF this year, plus brewery of the year.
They had all four on tap today, but the West Coast IPA that won was not available ToGo. Competition is an excellent beer.
A case of Hello LA was my backup plan. It got slightly warm during the drive home, so I'm drinking. Societe while it cools back to fridge temp.
