I just picked up a beat and a supplication (and passed on consecration) today and they were all the same labels. Maybe it's just damnatjon?

Today's Friday share beers. The bottle is Hoppy Saison Homebrew.

Stesti's dark lager might be the worst beer in the history of beer shares.

That's a shame. What happened to all the funk and sour demand from 8 or so years ago with them? I still love those beers the same. I'm wondering how much of the crowds of yesteryear were people that actually appreciated the beer and how much of it was just a bunch of followers and people that drink whatever is trendy or popular.

Granted, all of craft is struggling mightily. Liquor, RTDs/FMBs, and the Modelo's of the world have all stolen share.

(What's crazy is that JK does clean beer now and hazies to boot, so they have the stuff now that people "moved" to).

Side note: RU55 is great.

I'm having one sour and going back to the lagers, so that may be part of it. I also think most of the hype was clout chasing the limited releases. Same crowd that was flipping beers moved on to bourbon and Rolexes.

Various beers from Munich and Austria. I'm just not crazy about German beer. Does that make me a bad person?

Speaking of Breckenridge/CO. Next week I'll be driving from DIA to Avon. Best beer store options along I70? I remember stopping at Base Camp in Frisco years ago.

Bevy's (used to be tipsys) is a few mile detour off 70 on 470 and Kipling.

Haven't seen that one before. How is it? I'm gonna have to look out for it.

Used to stop in there all the time on the way back from the mountains down to the springs back in the day when it was tipsys. Nowadays the selection down here is pretty comparable to the good spots up there.
