Ballastpoint is in Texas now. I picked up one of their sculpin IPA's at the Georgetown specs.

Earlier in this thread I posted about my 2011 Abyss getting broken while moving some things around in the cellar. My GF knew how much it upset me and without me knowing contacted Deschutes and told them the story. They were able to spare a 2011 and shipped it to her free of charge! What an incredible surprise. So, if I can get my hands on a '12 I can continue my '10, '11, '12 vertical.

After she gave me the Abyss she broke up with me. womp womp.

Picked up some Red Chair earlier. I've been looking forward to it for a while.

Was at Rogness earlier. Good people and beer.

Just opened my Lucky Basartd. I like.

Back during football season Colorado hooked me up with my first Pliny ever. I thought it was a bit under carbonated and tasted a bit off. I am currently sipping on a Pliny here in San Fran and can now attest to how kickass this beer is. Don't know what the deal was with my first bottle but I'm excited about my excursion up to Russian river tomorrow.

Nope, hasnt made it here yet. According to the person who helped me at specs today their computers only show it in one of their Austin stores.

After an unexplainable 6 month absence, I'm making an effort to get back here. So much beer gone undocumented. I went through my random stashes around the house to see what I had to drink:





The regular stuff around here is so good I never think to look in my stashes.

I had a feeling you would like it. It really is a great beer. Most of their beers are great actually but this one is just damn slap yo momma good.

Enjoy the trip up to Santa Rosa. There is a kickass burger joint in Mill Valley called Pearl's Phatburger. It's a great stop on the way up if you need something to eat. How long are you up there?

Just met Ken, one of the owners of Karbach, at Tower Point. Just had a short conversation about their next distribution location and he told me I should come down for a tour since they always have something there that's not in distribution anywhere. I had five six packs, a couple four packs and a make your own six pack, so I'm sure he was glad to see that Hopadillo and Rodeo Clown were among them.

Have you tried the Sierra Nevada Bigfoot at Tower HEB yet?

I saw on their new beer board mention of DFH 120 but didn't see any in the cooler. Has it already sold out? I've had it before so no biggie if it has.

I picked up one of the remaining Narwhal 4 packs and a bomber of the Harpoon 100 Barrel series coffee beer El Turin... something. The Narwhal was great and may hit the Harpoon tonight.

Lagunitas Sucks is on tap at O'Bannon's for those that would like to sample some the keg version.

Enjoying sucks right now...

Its mighty fine, but a bit more bitter-focused than some of my favorite IPAs...it is a nice grapefruit heavy, pine accented flavor though. the more I drink of it, or the more it warms, the more I'm liking it....always the sign of a good (ie high alcohol) beer

not that sucks isn't good, but in my opinion no brown shugga substitute

I evidently left this one at my parent's house when I got married in '08. Will have to try it when the new house is complete in a few weeks. I am guessing it has aged long enough...

Drinking a GDBC 18th Anniversary DIPA. Not as good aged as it was fresh.
