Tell us more about that keg/growler looking thing with the Victory at Sea in it. Is that some guy's fancy growler keg and he got a fill of the beer or was that from ballast point?

It's just a growler from GrowlerWerks and filled at What's On Tap in Keller

I enjoyed the couple of bottles of Snorkel I tried. It was just salty enough. Wasn't sure what to expect with the mushrooms but I enjoyed it.

It's still pretty good. There is definitely more of an acidic taste, but I enjoyed it. That said, I'll probably drink the other one I have fairly soon.

Best Scottsdale-area breweries? We're headed there Super Bowl weekend for my dad's 70th birthday. Some of the guys are playing 3 rounds of golf, but for those who only want to play one or two (or none), I'm trying to put together a brewery-hopping afternoon. We've got an airbnb house near 101 and MacDonald Dr.

Only one I've been to in Scottsdale is Goldwater and it's definitely worth checking out.
A little closer to Phoenix is Wren House and it is Terrific!

Rec for hopfusion's Feisty Redhead. Here's the descriptor from the sudsmaker:
Our popular Feisty Blonde (orange blossom honey, raw piloncillo and pure Mexican vanilla aged on hibiscus and cherries for a new twist on the original - Feisty Redhead. We all know and love at least one.

At 8.67 ABV it's a stronger little ale, the hibiscus and cherries are a good curveball.

Macy co-owner at Hop Fusion is good people. I prefer the tejano ale with dressed up rim (think it's a mix of tajin and crack) with a pickle slice.
