Spent the week in Pocatello, Idaho. Trash taplist everywhere except at a place called Wanderlust. Revision (Sparks, NV) is a brewery that I've seen getting pretty good distribution in Idaho. It's always cool to see them on tap.

Also found a 1 year old brewery in Pocatello that's doing some solid stuff - Jim Dandy Brewing.

Looks like I'll have more trips to the area, so that's nice to know.

With the Best Made/Martin House collab coming out and lack of posts on this thread, I finally decided to try New Braunfels Brewing Pkl Fkr. It's a good cucumber Berliner. But there's no pickle to it. So I'm a little disappointed. Don't sell me on pickle and deliver just cucumber.

Pkl Fkr is the worst beer I've ever had and I don't think it's close. Everyone at the share we had it at agreed.

I shutter just thinking about that beer.

Busy with starting work! And drinking more wine than normal than beer (don't banish me! Ha).

Anyways, having some de Garde right now at a badass bottle shop and tap room near me. They have about 5 different de Garde bombers for sale to go too.

Dont dare criticize NB Beer on the SA Facebook craft beer pages. They will crucify you. More than one on the page have said how great Pkl FKR is in response to the best Maid craze.

New Braunfels brewing makes a Berliner Weisse with cucumber that they named pkl fkr. That's it. That's all. I was disappointed that it wasn't more pickle like. It was just a cucumber Berliner.

Sunday Brunch beer. Dry and good!

Also had the latest Barista Theory by Red Horn last night, and wow! One of the best coffee beers I've had. Might need another tonight. 100 degrees don't matter with beer this good!

She's seen me do it enough times at this point she knows how to wrap and pack for checking. Basically a lot of bubble wrap and tape. She has 70 lbs per bag these days, so there's plenty of room for beer. I told her to mostly get cans, but she still wanted a few bottles.

Had a work function on the Oregon Coast this weekend and stopped in at Yachats Brewing and Chetco in Brookings, Or. Great stuff at both. Yachats is churning out some really good stuff.

Scenery wasnt half bad either.

I had a Prairie Paradise at Hoppy Monk in SA on Sunday. I think I have a new favorite Prairie stout.

Also trying today the Avery Double Barrel Maple Stout at the Growler Exchange. Great beer and it better be at $12.50 for an 8oz pour.

Hoppy Monk is awesome. I've only been to their other (El Paso) location, but it's a real oasis out there.
