Spent 4 hrs at the ER in the Woodlands for a 5 minute procedure for my daughter. All is well and made a quick stop at B52 on the way home. Always tasty!

The Craft Bar in Destin has an awesome tap list and great food. They have Crowlers to go that are really well priced.

Drinking a Prairie Paradise stout. Hey, it is 65 degrees somewhere. Nice beer. Supposed to be coconut and vanilla imperial stout. I am not getting those but it is a good stout. Not sure it is worth $8 a bottle though.

Having a Bell's Two Hearted Ale. I feel like this is what a well-balanced IPA should taste like. Some solid citrus from the hops and a strong malt to counteract it. I'm a fan.

Someone educate me on hazy IPAs. Is this just a fad/marketing thing, or is there a reason behind it?

They've been around forever in the NE, it's just now it's more available nationwide since more breweries are brewing them

It should be called a Houston IPA, because that's about the only style of IPA anyone does anymore

Thanks for the responses. I'm trying to get into beer (my main body of knowledge is wine).

Picked up a Jester King Provenance at Sunrise Mini Mart in Austin today. I'm sure this is old news to people here, but they've got a pretty good selection for a tiny store. Their wines aren't bad either. Happy friday to everyone.

Finally going to see Endgame tonight while we're staying with the in-laws in Elgin, so we have a babysitter. Pflugerville is our closest theater option. What's the best brewery in our near there, or close to the route between Elgin and Pflugerville that would be open until 10ish or later on a Saturday?
