Brouwerij West is a half hour away in Long Beach. Good hazy IPAs.

El Segundo Brewing about the same distance. Good West Coast IPAs.

For bars, I can only site Santa Monica places, which are around 45 minutes away.

Library Alehouse
West 4th and Jane
Father's Office

If you go to Father's Office, go half a block up and check the bottles at The Duck Blind liquor store. Across the street from The Library is a weird little bodega that has lots of barrel aged beers.

And of course, you'll only be an 8 hour drive to Santa Rosa, so an easy weekend trip to stock up on RRBC.

We made it to Oregon! 2300 miles later, we are enjoying the sunset and beautiful weather. High today was 64 with a low of 42.
We also enjoyed some wineries close by today in between unpacking. Also am enjoying having Crux pilz from the grocery store a mile away.

Congratulations on the move!

Having a Montmorency vs. Balaton. This is great stuff, always forget how solid a fruited beer this one is. Definitely not near as sour as some of their other stuff. Great balance between sweet, tart, and sour

Ironically I went to Oddwood today for the first time as well. Cool little place. Tried the Vermillionaire and it was great.

My wife is not a beer drinker but she really like their wine list. Plus foos ball!

First beer I got there I simply chose because of the badass reference/name, 'It's All in the Reflexes.' The Big Trouble in Little China movie poster was cool as well.

Having a can of tropical einhorn right now. This stuff is amazing. So much flavor for such an easy drinker at 3.5%, and great for this hot day.

Just returned from that exact area yesterday. My solution was to stop in Austin on the way down and load up on Eihorns.

Cooler is full of Einhorns and ready to go.

We are actually doing the zoo tomorrow and Sea World Tuesday. Staying at the Holiday Inn cause they have a shuttle and I ain't paying $22 to park at Sea World. Hitting up Little Taco Factory (best enchiladas in the world) by the zoo tomorrow, maybe Pearl area for dinner. Tuesday though... I got nothing.

Unfortunately. Got 3 8-10" holes in the roof where branches speared through like toothpicks. On the bright side, I got some new waterfall features in my living room! Structural damage from falling branches, porch columns, bay windows, gutters......you name it. Probably the worst part is losing my 60yr old oak tree in the front.

To add to the malaise, I spent 24 hours in Portland and didn't get to try a single beer. I came down with the flu because some a-hole on the cruise ship got on board sick. When I got to Portland on Sunday after taking the train from Seattle and was feeling awful, my boss told me to get a flight home and get some rest.

I hate people sometimes.

I've got your Oregon beers almost ready. Should be ready to ship by this weekend. Some good stuff out here that I hope you like. They have had some interesting twists on the Hazy IPA craze. Plus some other phenomenal traditional NW super hoppy IPAs.
