Made the scenic ~3hr drive to Casey this weekend for their 4th Anniversary and was definitely not disappointed in my first visit. It was ticketed and only around 25-30 people there for my 5pm session. I drank some new releases, their Outer Range NE IPA collab, and met some nice folks who were down to take advantage of one of the two bottles of 2017 Jammy made available off the menu. To cap it off, I sold some beer in town since I don't get out to Glenwood Springs, well, ever.
It goes without saying, but if you ever have the time to take a day trip from Denver or anywhere close enough, this should be on everyone's bucket list.

When we went back in 2013 I was on a family trip with my then girlfriend (now wife), her folks and her sister and BIL. Her folks decided they wanted to do a day trip to Nicaragua and booked a trip for the group of us. In general I wasn't really looking forward to the day because I knew it was going to be a loooong day in a van.
Van comes to pick us up at like 430 in the morning and the tour guide apparently doesn't speak English. My Spanish us the best out of the group so I'm trying to communicate with him as we load up the van. As we take off he's trying very hard to communicate in veeeeeery broken Spanish with little success. Then he broke character and admired his dad was from Atlanta and he was just ****ing with us.
Had to grease some palms to get across the border, had breakfast in Rivas, went up to the top of a volcano, had a late lunch in Granada and some beers made another stop or two and then crossed back into Costa Rica late that night. Got home at like 11pm.
Fun day but kind of a beating

Hasn't been on the news much, but lots of civil unrest, riots, people getting killed.
Finally got my hands on one of Spindletap's Hazy IPAs (Houston Haze). That's a damn good beer. Sucks that it's hard to find beer like it as a casual.

Eddyline makes some good beers. I leave for Colorado on Saturday to take my son and boys from our troop to summer camp. So I don't expect that I will get to have any, nor pick up any beer.
