Sad day for my family. We said goodbye to our fur child, KC, tonight. We adopted her 10 years ago when she was 6 years old. She was a great member of our family before my wife and I had our boys. Our other dog, Chrinkles, misses her already.

Her nickname was, Bean. So, tonight I am drinking a sixpoint 3beans. Cheers, lady.

At Modern Times in San Diego. One of my standard stops when here for work.

Favorite of the night: Order of Hermes. (Fruited super-berliner at 6.5%). Berliner with pineapple, passion fruit, dragon fruit. It's Delicious.

Love that place! I went to Modern Times LA this weekend and it wasn't near as good. It was a totally different scene. Not as relaxed.

Hit Mikkeller a block away afterwards and the space was huge - much better than the San Diego tasting room, but with one enormous flaw. They didn't get a license to sell to go beer. I don't get that at all.

Two hazy IPAs and a hazy double (IPA). Offshoot is really putting out some good stuff. They seem to come out with two new beers every month, and you can order online and have them shipped. Very convenient.

I'm already flying into Chicago that morning, but I wouldn't have much time to spend there. I'm still trying to decide if it's worth it to pay $180, make the drive, pick up bottles, and pretty much head straight back.

It's a great beer...but there are limits. I'd enjoy Chicago and use that $$ to get beer around town and a burger at Au Cheval
