Based on the comment on this thread a few weeks ago about westy 12 maybe being available in the states again, I picked up a st bernardus 12 at Costco today. Anyone had both to compare how close they are?

Courtyard Brewing is worth a visit, and it's not far from Avenue Pub. It's not a NOLA brewery, but I'm a fan of Great Raft Commotion which should be readily available there as well.

I can't let that beanbag, Jetch, have all the fun. This is a belated celebratory beer. Myself and some good people helped put on a charity sporting clays shoot last Saturday. For our first year, it went very well. I'm pretty proud of what we accomplished. Any way, cheers and f$&) cancer.

All Spon fruits/variants have been $25 so far, which is pretty steep. The Spon methode gueuze 375 ml were $20 and 750 ml $36.

I appreciate the efforts of JesterKing and their use use of local flora, yeast, bacteria and coolship methods, but at $25 for a 375ml, I'll settle for a nice California red and get my beer fix from somewhere else. I think they are beginning to push the pricing envelope.
