I have not tried any of these beers! I'm pretty sure I haven't even heard of most of them. I feel like there is some very special that I am looking at but that I can't fully appreciate. I am sitting back in awe, but it is not good enough.

A 2014 cellar reserve, then reserved in BSD's cellar. A phenomenally well balanced beer. Just enough sour and cherry flavor, but not overly cherry.

Ohio beer. This porter is extremely coffee heavy, with a lot of mocha too. Better than I thought it was going to be. Should've saved it to have with a weekend brunch! Trying to clear out some of the cellar.

damn it i love funk metal (been since '14 that ive had it- back when it saw distro) and was just talking with a friend about a side by side with fm and tart of darkness for sure with possibility for others pending availability.. ive never had ToD though ive been sitting on one since Xmas, i generally consider funk metal my favorite sour stout (disclaimer that when i drank it last, i hadnt had many, if any, quality sour stouts, so i could be overrating it), and ToD is the one beer ive heard or read repeatedly re: funk metal "its good but no tart of darkness"... i cant make the trip, so if i cant get a bottle somehow, id be at least down to put up the ToD half of a (preferably blind) side by side if anyone who scores a fm is interested.

any easily found suggestions of dark sours to include in this are welcome. offhand i know one store has some santa fe sour BA state pen porter (was ok but doubt it holds up to these), maybe professor black could be tracked down somewhere, black metal possibly but that might be too obvious in a blind test..i dont recall if i have anymore black jesus... i wanna say new braunsfels makes some dark sours.. this could be fun tbh

in before suggestions of infected bourbon county variants
