I typically say consecration is my favorite beer overall.. but I've had it many more times than supplication. Maybe I'll open one of each tonight and make a final decision! Need some more of that blue

Speaking of Shiner, they had a Winter Warmer approved this week. Their recent offerings seem to have been paired back versions of the styles they are supposed to be. I'm curious if that's the case with this one. Hopefully it's not awful like that Birthday Cake beer that tasted like they just dumped a vat of crappy chocolate icing into the beer.

Welcome to the thread. I hope you stick around and enjoy the banter we share here. The beer you drink doesn't have to be obscure. Just good craft beer that you enjoy.

What styles do you like? Maybe we can offer suggestions for beers to try.


If I'm drinking beer for an extended amount of time it's coors light or pearl light. If I'm drinking just a few I enjoy Shiner bock, Alamo golden ale, etc. things of that nature.

The karbach mentioned above I really enjoy.

Any suggestion of ones to try?

Being that it just came out and I'm a fan of the style in general, I'd grab a sixer of Karbachtoberfest. It's a solid local offering. Keeping with that O'Dell Oktoberfest is awesome too in my opinion.

Steve should just pay Lone Pint to send him a truck every month or so.

Has anyone else noticed Yellow Rose being way different from batch to batch on draft? The last two pints I had were really weak. Wonder if they were old kegs. Just seems like one of those beers that will blow me away at one place and suck at the next.

The best vanilla porter I have ever had was by Stone. I think it is a hard style to get right because it is too easy to add too much vanilla and overpower the beer.
