Roasting ants isn't done in the US, but it's common in a lot of countries, especially in central and South America. I would try the beer.

Some people think the tape helps keep the caps from popping. I don't agree, and it just makes them sticky when you pull off the tape. I'm trying out just leaving the tape on and tearing it with the bottle opener.

These were bought at the brewery, since it is still really hard to get in SoCal. I guess they stamp that 'not for resale' thing on those.

Never for get your roots. I remember back in college getting a Shiner at Northgate Cafe thinking I was all craft beer nerd because it wasn't Bud. I'll still get a Shiner from time to time.

I started with Fat Tire and Sierra Nevada. I never liked Shiner and I quickly outgrew Fat Tire (haven't had one in over a decade). Then got I to Belgians. I tried lots of other beers but nothing was exciting at the time. I was/am a wino so I continued with wine for a long time before stumbling into RRBC one day. Then it all went downhill...

You can do like Steve00 on here and make some bulk trades for it. Plenty of TX people here with Yellow Rose access that enjoy plenty of good SoCal beers that don't make it to TX. If I see a fresh batch come through DFW soon, I'll shoot you a PM and maybe we can work something out.

I went by Brashland a couple of weeks ago to pick up some Cortado, and it was ****ing miserable. A metal warehouse on a 95 degree day is not a pleasant place to be. I do want some Abide though, so perhaps a double up on the Gold Bond is in order.
