How long do you want to ignore this user?
We've been in our new construction house for 15 months. When should I turn off the sprinklers for fall/winter? Yard looks outstanding right now. Taper it back to one day per week?
Thanks for your help.

Check out the BVWatersmart website - they'll give recommendations based on a few factors and you can tweak from there.

Definitely taper to avoid fungus problems with these cooler temps

My sprinkler is currently off.

If it starts to look super dry then I will let it run once only. No more auto watering with cool temps

It'll be heating up again through the end of the month, so mine will probably stay on for a bit

To piggie back off of this water in the early morning going into day time with these cooler temps. If you do it at night going into the start of night it'll make the fungus problem that much more exponential.

I will likely only run it once more to water in a winter fertilizer application

Our wastewater charge for next year is determined the first week of November. I shut the sprinkler off for the year Nov 1st.

Wastewater surcharge rate for next year is based on the amount of water we use. It is calculated the first week of November, so reduce water use that week.

Plus watering that late is just going to promote fungus.

Not in CS, but do you stop watering your plants as well? The ones typically watered by the sprinkler?
