ONE WEEK + 11

Walls and panels are primed up to the shower and the water closet has been textured. Probably would have gotten more done but I wasnt paying attention to my paint supplies and I had forgotten that I had tossed my 9" roller after the last paint project so the walls and ceiling had to be primed with a 4" roller with a 1/4" nap. Needless to say the first thing I am buying tomorrow to help finish the painting is a new roller because I am not putting the final coat on with a roller meant for trim.






As has been the tradition so far, I will be going media dark and just working on the bathroom during the game this evening. Hope it continues to work for the Ags. BTHO Michigan.

Yeah got the sportscenter update at the end of the game and was defenitely glad I did not sacrifice working on the room to watch that game.

ONE WEEK + 13
All the walls are tectured and painted. Started painting the wainscoting and mouldings. Got the water closet finished and the bathtub surround. Do not know if it shows up in the photos but probably going to have to go over the wainscoting one more time because even with the primer, the dark hardboard is still showing through. I would also like to ask why it is so difficult to find cans of texture that have a consistant pressure and output. Thankfully after you put on a thick coat of paint, it all evens out but I definitely have three disctinct orange peel textures going in this room.

I actually think Scriffer should be the winner. I agree it should be the "closest" and was just hoping to garner support for my cause.

All the paint colors are Valspar from Lowes.

Ceiling - Delicate White FLAT
Mouldings, Wainscoting, and Linen Cabinet - Delicate White SEMIGLOSS
Walls - Notre Dame EGGSHELL
Vanity - Drizzling Mist SEMIGLOSS

The walls might have to be repainted before the marble gets installed because I don't think it is the right shade of grey to match the marble and the vanity. We had a bunch left over from painting the nursery and it looks good in that room but the light in this room brings out a green hue in it that you can't see in the other room.

Yep, you'll need to repaint them AF...anything to get closer to 39.5 days!

Go with classic grey from Ben Moore
Goes with almost anything. Very neutral grey with some beige undertones that mix with almost any color

ONE WEEK + 15

Between Easter Egg hunts and the mrs feeling under the weather, definitely did not get as much done this weekend as I wanted to do. The main thing is everything got painted this weekend. The ceiling and the interior panels of the wainscotting need a second coat but that will be quick. Started installing fixtures since I needed something to do while the little one napped that didnt cause a lot of noise. Yesterday saw the majority of the subway tile get installed. The remaining pieces all need to be cut with the wet saw so that will be done tonight.


This pic shows how this one wall looks when compared to the vanity gray. The rest of the bathroom still looks fine, its just this one wall. Going to wait until the mirror gets put up before making a decision but we are starting to lean toward the color is fine.







Shower tile




Marble in-lay and it also the shower floor


Tonight should see all the marble get installed and the main floor grouted so all the shoe molding can get installed tomorrow.

Remaining schedule
Monday - Marble tile and main floor grouted
Tuesday - Remaining molding installed, second coat of paint where needed, and paint cabinet doors and drawers
Wednesday - Grout shower and paint pocket doors and bedroom wall
Thursday morning - Countertops get installed
Thursday evening - Shower enclosure and shower fixtures get installed
Friday - Final clean-up
