I hate to admit it, but I've picked up some signs in my house that make me want to get the foundation looked at. Any recommendations for companies to give an honest assessment and is fair on repair costs? House is in Keller.

Before you get a foundation company to review and give you a quote, I highly recommend getting a structural engineer to review and evaluate your situation. You'll get an honest and unbiased engineering evaluation that may save you bunches of money. I know I did as 2 foundation companies gave me bids (15 peers from one and 22 piers from the another) at approximately $2,000/pier.

I was shocked and had an engineer assess my situation. Was the best $250 I've ever spent as he assessed my situation and immediately informed me that I had a slab leak and to get it checked/fixed. Sure enough, the drain to a tub in the center of the house disintegrated so all the tub water was draining under the slab causing the center of the house to heave upwards cracking sheetrock and jamming doors, etc.. After the slab leak, was fixed everything returned back to normal within a year later.

I've seen this several times since then with friends and family that ran into similar situations...

Structural engineer can be a good first step. They often suggest bushes, trees, or drainage can be fixed and this can cause foundations to normalize. If engineer suggests piers, Call foundation concrete services and ask for rodrigo. Licensed and insured. They do all of our foundations

I agree w/Gary79 100%! We were having some foundation issues & we had a foundation company out for an inspection. He suggested we call his plumber to have a slab leak test. There were no other indications of a slab leak. We had a SE inspection & he suggested the problem was caused by 2 oak trees in the front yard. We installed root barriers & the foundation settled back down to normal. We are in Coppell & we used David Isbon. Many years experience & a thorough report was given.

In FW-we used Atlas
Foundation after several
bids. They recommended an independent structural engineer before they would even bid the work. Tommy LaLonde was recommended, he's an Ag. I was very pleased with both. https://www.thomasengineeringdfw.com
