The floors have a "high quality polyurethane" finish. Bona hardwood floor cleaner does not get the overspray off. I've read about alcohol, vinegar, mineral spirits, Windex, etc. What can I use?

Are you saying Lysol wipes didn't mess up your finish AND it removed dried paint?

I'd think mineral spirits is your best bet.

What type of paint ?

Oil base or latex ?

This usually works for me but please test it first in an inconspicuous place on your flooring

I agree with 03_Aggie.

Mineral Spirits has saved my tail numerous times. It's not too harsh, but it's strong enough to remove things like overspray, adhesives, etc.

Same deal at my place. I have used goo-gone and wd-40 with mild success.

Latex should come off with water and some elbow grease. Oil base needs something tougher
