Are the swiffer mops the best/quickest ways to clean file floors in between thorough cleanings? With two dogs, the floors get dirty quick. I have a Haan steam mop but I want something even quicker without a cord.

After the wedding and a few major purchases, I'll look into an automated robot mop to go with my roomba (which is a live saver with an Akita!).

No. They leave a residue that dirt adheres to. I've had several friends go from swiffer to Bona and had much cleaner floors. They were tires of white socks being black right after cleaning. No more problems.
