Has anybody had any experience with this type of system? Does it work and can you do it yourself instead of contracting this out back to them? They are putting this in the house I am building and dont know much about it.

Have it in my house and have contracted it for the last 5 years

Not cheap ($95 quarterly) but VERY effective to date. A couple geckos have made it in the house before, but never seen a bug more than 2 feet past doorways, and they have all been dead

If you find a DIY kit for this, I would be very interested

Pretty sure these systems are patented and can only be serviced by the group that owns the patent. This is the reason why the service prices are more expensive and you cannot utilize the system yourself without the patented equipment.

I have the system in my new home and have chosen not to use it. Home Team Pest Defense is the local group that services my area and they have been nothing but annoying/hassling me to get signed up.

Not saying this is accurate, but for what its worth... From my research, for the system to properly distribute the chemicals, it must be aerosol based. From what I was told, the aerosol based chemicals do not last and therefore only when the system is sprayed does it work. Therefore, you don't get any lasting residual effect like most normal pest treatments. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I think the reason they are pushy on the sales side is they probably partner with builders to put the systems in at low or no costs. In return the builder allows them to market to their buyers.

Obviously they cant make any money without the systems in homes and they certainly cant get their money back and start making profit without signing up people.

Not aerosol from what the techs told me.

Liquid push through the house using compressed nitrogen
