I've done around 115 in Vegas a few times. Honestly not that bad if you have a cart. Just drink water.

I have played in some pretty hot temps but nothing compares to the Houston humidity and 100+ feels. Keep the liquids flowing and plenty of ice handy.

Exactly. Like I said above, I've played in 115 in Vegas but it truly wasn't awful. But I've played in 90-something degrees in Florida with 400% humidity and it was the most uncomfortable I've ever been on a golf course. It was rough.

When I tell people here in Phoenix that I lived in Houston for 28 years nearly everyone asks how anyone can stand that heat. Hydrating, cooling towels and that make it a lot more bearable to me than Houston in the summer.

I've only ever quit a golf once. End of August 2019. 103 and the dew point was like 75. Hit an errant drive on like 15 and said screw it and left.

Played at 115 at Lake Las Vegas. I think I was the only idiot on the course. Big hat and ice towel (they provided the towels). It was only like 2.5 hours through so kinda cheating if you'll be in a foursome.

There's like 16 of us but doing a scramble so we'll see how it goes I guess.

I did snag one of those Titleist Aussie bucket hats so I'll be rocking that

I'm pissing clear today so hydration is on point

Ive just had a couple of range sessions these last few days (uncovered) for about 45 minutes and it tested me. Its fun trying to work on your mechanics with rivers of salty sweat coming out of every pore

I have played in Phoenix multiple times at 108-110 and I play in Tucson a few summers back at 113. It was a dry heat so not to bad. Just have to remember to drink fluids

Played Indian Wells today. Fun as hell. Was damn hot but the liquids were running and good call on rotating ice chest towels, that helped a ton

We did Silver Rock yesterday followed by the Nicklaus Tournament PGA West course

Unfortunately Silver Rock was under so pretty heavy construction.

The Nicklaus course was absolutely phenomenal, wow

Hot day and a a few guys got close to heat exhaustion and bailed. I pushed through along with 7 others to finish up.

Thanks for all the tips in this thread, they paid off immensely.

Looks awesome! That was the course we were supposed to play one of the 6 days on our trip, but some strings got pulled for us and we got to play 36 at Bighorn instead.

Played the stadium course at TPC Scottsdale when it was 117 out. But with the 0% humidity it honestly felt like 90 degrees.

Not a hottest round post but this morning it was 82 when we teed off at 7:30 in Phoenix. 94 when we finished. It was glorious. Yesterday at 6:30PM we played 9 and it was 112 at that time. Couldn't believe ot when I walked outside this morning.

Little Rock Arkansas early 2000's.

115 degrees, designated as the hottest spot in the US that day.

Kept drinking gatorade... but felt sick as we finished. Threw up a bucket of red gatorade right outside of the clubhouse.

I had heat stroked.

Laid in bed for 3 days after.

I was young, dumb and didn't know how to play in hot weather.

Last 15 years, routinely played in 105-112 weather in Central Valley CA. White shirt, big hat, compression white shirt, a cooler with ice and water. wet towel in ice water and around neck and head every hole.

Nothing to it.

Similar happened to me in Phoenix a few years back. We flew in for a conference and went straight to golf, so I was probably already a little dehydrated from the flight. Being from Houston, the 106 degree heat didn't feel bad at all to me and I felt like I was drinking enough water/gatorade…but we made the mistake of mixing a few beers in. Looking back, the cart girl looked at us like we were crazy for getting beers.

Started feeling out of it the last few holes…on 18 as we were shaking hands, I knew something was up. 2 hours later, I was vomiting violently in my room and that was on and off for hours. Oddly enough, I felt amazing the next day somehow.

I think the fact that it's so dry and youre not dripping sweat like you are down here can mess with your head. You don't realize how much water you're losing in that dry heat.

I played yesterday @12:45 in BCS 99* "feels like temp" 111* and it was WAY worse than any round I have ever played at any time in the desert.

Almost needed a glove on my right hand I was sweating so much. "It's not the heat, it's the humidity" is very real.

Played 27 holes yesterday at Beacon Lakes in Dickinson with some guys from work. Tee time was 10:30. Buddy and I weren't happy with our play so opted for another 9 at around 2:00 ish. Miserable playing the last 9. After the first 3 just said screw it and played fast.

Just stayed in Scottsdale and played We-Ko-Pa and a couple other courses in July. 107/108 each day with a 110+ index. Ice and multiple neck towels are very beneficial.

I've played in some pretty hot conditions myself, but nothing quite like 114 degrees.

The hottest I've played in was around 105 degrees. The dry heat felt a bit more manageable than the humidity back home, but it was still a challenge.
