Any recommendations on how to kill a Sunday afternoon in Atlanta?

Golf. Or if no golf, their aquarium is very nice.

One of the last times I was in Atlanta, I spent about an hour eating at The Varsity and then about 2 hours in the bathroom. You can kill an afternoon that way.

obviously depends on how long you have and what you want to do, but I would suggest heading south of the airport to Trilith. This is a development/movie studio. It's where all the Marvel films are made and several tv shows. Within the last 12 months they have opened an outdoor mixed-use area that has several restaurants, etc. 2 weeks ago Fairway Social opened and they have a great outdoor space with huge screen that will have the tournament on.
The added bonus is it is about 15 miles (25-ish minutes) from the airport and being south means much less traffic and unpredictability of getting to the airport.
