Hideki is not a great putter. Now, if he keeps hitting it to 5 feet, it won't matter but it's hard to do that for 2 days in a row. I'm expecting a fun Sunday.

Happens, although more often on the 2nd shot. Never seen it with a wedge. I think JT (or someone) had to dodge someone's ball going into the water in November as he was walking to the 16 green

He probably speaks okay English but doesn't want to on live tv. Seems pretty common for Japanese athletes

His English isn't bad now. But speaking at the Masters is not a place to make a mistake. He can be articulate and accurate with a translator.

A lot of Japanese people won't learn English. They are really proud of their culture and dont see the need to branch out. Hell. Some know it but refuse to speak it. At least that's what I've gathered from my several trips there.

My sister in law taught English there to business people after college. If they work with Americans they almost always learn English because we sure as hell aren't learning japanese.

Hideki was able to take advantage of the softer greens after the rain. He was able to change his mindset immediately and start firing at flags to take advantage. Seemed like the other guys took a few holes.

Pretty cool to watch. That was some world class ball striking.

Your best value if you secondary market is a Tuesday practice round. Pre-covid, you could do Tues for about $700. You can bring a camera, pretty much every player plays 18, and it's a fun relaxed environment
