I thought it interesting in watching Nick Faldo on a mygolfspy noputtsgiven and they were kidding him about getting them an invitation to play Augusta. He said he has won The Masters three times and he can't play Augusta without an invitation from a member.

Funny, I was listening to Mark O'Meara on No Laying Up last night and he said that he could go play there (as long as he didn't abuse the privilege) but that if he brought a guest with him, then he needed to be accompanied by a guest. Said that he pays caddy/greens fees, but it's not nearly as bad as you would expect.

That is correct. Usually no non-member can play without a member inviting him to play. And no non-member one can play as an unaccompanied guest.

The only exception I know of first-hand is the Monday after the Masters, when 20 media members who won the annual media lottery get to play, as well as a few sponsor/CEO types, etc. I played on that Monday in 1994 after seeing my name on the list on Friday afternoon.

That yardage book thread on twitter is intriguing to me. I've never went through the steps of trying to make one with detailed notes - its like another area to delve into and learn more about the game.

And I didn't bother with the press conferences so far this year because I figured the woke stuff would be going on with current events and everything else. I'm done with it. I have to hear it at work constantly, and almost everywhere else.

If its done during the broadcast of the various groups, I'll probably watch it in mute. Doubt I'll catch the opening tee shot because there will be a bunch of discussion around it there as well. Champ's comments are disappointing.

It's an uninformed opinion but other than that I don't see anything wrong with what he said.

I don't get the sense from that that he's up there being a SJW or calling for change. He was asked the question and he answered it while giving his thoughts.
