This isn't good. After entering my round on the grint, it posted it to my GHIN last night. So now I have the same round twice.

I've sent an email to TGA to get it removed, but I think this means I'll have to disconnect my GHIN from grint.

For the tour events, couldn't you just enter them on Grint and not on Ghin? Then they would automatically populate on ghin?

Or do you need to enter them on ghin immediately? I don't use the ghin app so not sure on the details with it.

I could, but it doesn't populate the hole by hole over to GHIN. I prefer using the GHIN app personally. I'm only using the grint for this tour. I just removed my GHIN from my grint account. I'm playing next Tuesday so I'll enter that score into test event 2 and see what happens as far as calculating a net score.

After removing my GHIN, it now says 8-10 instead of the actual 9.0 that it is.

Gotcha. Didn't realize that GHIN did hole by hole scoring.

It didn't, but maybe that takes more than one day? I posted my round on GHIN Sunday right after the round. I posted the same round on grint Monday because it wasn't there. Today, GHIN was updated with a duplicate round, grint still only has it once.

Weird. If we can't figure it out it's not a big deal. I can adjust people's handicaps for events so when you play an event I can set your handicap to what it should be. One quick message is all it'd take.

Yeah, I figured it won't be a big deal, I just don't want my score posting to my GHIN twice.

The Grint updates handicaps after midnight. Crossposting scores may work the same way.

It looks like the grint talks to GHIN, but not the other way around as far as scores are concerned.

I might get in a round this evening. Should I attribute it to Test Round 2, or or are we doing multiple rounds to Test Round 1?

Got a response from TGA. Grint automatically posts scores over to GHIN after entered, but GHIN does not post scores to grint. So if you have your GHIN in your grint profile, this will happen.

I'm just going to continue without my GHIN linked and will let bagger know what my GHIN is at the time of my round for an event.

That's the head scratcher. Bc the rankings are all over the place in relation to that number.

Looking at it on the computer instead of mobile, the rankings are by net score.

On the app players If you go to test event 1 the players are ranked by points (see screen shot- far right number ) but there's no mention of how points are acquired. Also the score that shows I assume is gross score but the assortment of the +/- I assume is the score a person shot relative to their handicap (so in effect net score?) but it has no correlation to their points or rank.

I think the points are for the tour. It's a points system like the FedEx cup. You get 150 for first, 140 for 2nd, and so on. If you look on the website and not the app, you'll see that we are ranked in order of our net score. The +/- is your score relative to your course handicap for that specific course based on your index.

For example, I shot 83 at lantana on Sunday. My index is 9, and my course handicap for Lantana from the blues is 9. It has +1.6 (it's hardly ever an even number). Round that up and you get my 83 is 2 shots more than my handicap of 81. The net score, however, is based on your pops.

Ok that makes sense. What I was missing that was that +/- is relative to handicap, not net score. I get it now.

I'm playing in a Wednesday 9-hole league tonight. Grint holds your 9-hole scorecards until it can combine two into a single 18-hole round. I'll play tonight as a Tour test event and see what happens.

Shot a 40 last night, which Grint combined with the 44 I shot on Aug 15 at the same course for an 84 total. Neither the 40 (which I selected as Test Event 2) nor the 84 showed up in the Tour standings. It's likely that the combined score didn't get included in the Tour because only half of the total was selected for the Tour.

The Tour is up to 47 members and our first official event begins on September 21.

I encourage everyone to try entering a test event or two so we get the hang of it before the official events get going.

In the next few days I'll start a thread where we can weigh in on rules, points, flights, and a few other items before we officially get started.

I played today and kept score in the app, how does the scoring work for the Tour, I entered to Test Event 1, and got 75 points, how are the points determined?

It's according to your ranking in the event. First place gets 150 and it goes down from there.

I posted a score to Tour Event Test #2 and everyone is Tied for first. Is that a glitch or subject to change at the deadline, or something else?

Maybe the Test Event #2 was setup like a "major" in that you need two rounds to qualify, as the only person with points has two rounds entered.

I believe this is accurate.

There's interest in another league this year. Volunteering you to set it up since you had so much fun last year.
