All the time for a casual round. Never loud enough to annoy people not in my group. Keeps me from overthinking my golf swing.

I personally don't like it. We have so much noise going on in the rest of our lives. Spending a few hours just absorbing the game, the nature, the beauty, and especially the peace out there is practically therapeutic to me. As far as others. aslong as you keep the volume respectful, I don't care. But to me, it's just another example of the constant stimulation many seem to need.

Always. And I never mind hearing music from adj. fairways, unless it's some kind of annoying rap
No it's not. You want that, go take a walk in the woods. The point of a weekend round is to get 4-5 hrs to relax and not deal with the normal day to day stuff that plagues us. For some of us, that relaxation involves listening to music.Prexys Moon said:

For me, this does not apply to vacation rounds at special courses and usually not country clubs, esp if I'm a guest of someone. All other courses, I'll play my music at a reasonable level.

Then relax at home with your music.
I don't know about the rest of you but golf has never been a relaxation activity for me. It involves intense concentration for me.
