I was one of the people that posted a topic on this board berading the team. I for one am glad that they have turned it around, and I have learned to keep my mouth shut and let them play the season. This has truly been a remarkable trunaround.

George, you're exactly right!!! But I will tell you, they are going to have to make a big push in August because September is gonna be tough. We SHOULD sweep the Giants this weekend with the triplets pitching!

There were several threads 8 weeks ago about how they were going to bounce back and pass everyone in the East for the Wildcard. I was a skeptic. No way I thought they could do this 2 years in a row.

I was wrong. I prefer my crow served with roasted potatoes and steamed broccoli.

The good thing is that Washington and the Cubs are coming up at Minute Maid, so if the stros take care of business they can deliver a big blow to both of those teams. The only downside is that the Pirates are in between both of those series and it looks like we'll have to pitch Wandy & Astacio in the Nats & Cubs series, unless Garner decides to axe one of Astacio or Wandy's starts since we've got that Monday off. Should be interesting.

T-Bird, if Backe comes back to being healthy, what do we do with the rotation now that Zeke is coming around?

That's a good question Dag, Garner has a tough decision ahead of him. I think they should definitely keep Astacio around if there is room for him in the pen and maybe he could give us some middle relief. If Backe is fully healed, I just don't see him losing his starting job.

I agree. I'm curious to see how he comes out in his next start before Backe gets back. If he has another quality start, I just can't imagine sending him back down. I say make room for him!

Yea, he has pitched nicely his last 2 starts and got out of a couple early jams last night. I admit that I was a little worried after their Sunday game against the Cubs where they blew Maddox up. So far they've scored 1 run in 2 games against us. Guess that day off really cooled them down....well that and the Rocket.

Attention dumbass....we were all here, and responded to the Rangers/Astros bashing threads. We agreed that they were stinking it up. We also told you that yall would fail to make the playoffs again this season, and fade in the 2nd half. Looks like we were spot on again for that prediction. Again, no one was hiding.
