I've never understood why the fact that Vince throws to his tightends, who happen to be the best receivers on the team, is used as a negative against him. Why wouldn't he do what he had to do to move the team down the field and score? If that means running or throwing to a tight end, then great. Using it as an argument against VY is strange.

Wow.

I request a discussion comparing Radio and Michael Bishop then all of a sudden, BAM!

Poor sippies have to try and spin it into a Reggie - Radio debate once again.

Quit being so apologetic for your 810 SAT scoring mongy QB and just enjoy the upcoming season.

After all...what in the hell did he need Benson for anyway, right? He is going to become the next incarnation of Donovan McNabb according to you guys.

It sucks for you that the team you hate the most owns the team you love the most at just about every single sport.

Most lopsided rivalry in the country.

So you won't answer the original topic?

Who is a better QB?

Bishop or Radio?

Really? Okay. Please tell me the college sports rivalries that are more lopsided... besides, "Radio" is smart enough to win 17 games and be the Rose Bowl MVP. He's dumb because why?

Well I'll try....

t.u. leads A&M 72-34-5 for a 64.8 winning percentage.

Colorado leads Colorado State 56-19-2 for a 72.7 winning percentage.

Nebraska leads Colorado 44-17-2 for a 69.8 winning percentage.

Houston leads Rice 22-9 for a 70.9 winning percentage.

Tennessee leads Kentucky 68-23-9 for a 68.0 winning percentage.

L.S.U. leads Tulane 62-23-7 for a 69.1 winning percentage.

Those are just a few examples, but more than enough info to educate you.

I guess what I'm saying to your brain dead, waste of bandwith ass is shut the fcuk up while you're behind or you will soon push Radio to Einstein heights of intelligence in comparison.

Young will be a better quarterback. He has only finished his sophomore year.

As for lopsided rivalries, JTaylor said all sports. And do really consider Tulane-LSU a football rivalry? Houston-Rice? Kentucky-Tennessee?

Does it suck to have to point to the Rice, Tulane, and Kentucky football programs to prove that A&M does not suck?

How about all sports? Across the board, Texas-Texas A&M is the most lopsided rivalry in college.

Discuss.

The single most lopsided major football rivalry I've seen is 0U/Okie St.

In all sports, it's Texas/A&M.

I believe the pass game will be improved because of the maturation process for our WRs and the fact that our OL is intact. Even the coaches admitted that our WRs screwed us against Missouri and OU last year.

Heck, even in the A&M game, our receivers went 2-18 (Sweed), 1-8 (Jones), and 1-3 (Hardy). Absolutely pitiful, and honestly doesn't have much to do with Vince, because he hit the TEs and RBs fairly well. Probably also has a lot to do with Greg Davis.

And then in Vince's "mediocre" games, he always completed around 60% of his passes for 150-200 yards. Add in his rushing stats, and you got a problem as a defensive coordinator.

We're adding Shipley. Anyone who doesn't recognize how he will contribute is going to be surprised.

Of course, nobody knows for sure. It's hard to point to factual evidence if something hasn't happened yet. But I feel that Young will keep improving and progressing, and if he does that, I believe he will become a better quarterback than Bishop by his senior year. But Bishop was pretty good. He was a Heisman finalist. I'm not sure that it's an insult to say that Bishop = Young.

After just his sophomore year, what evidence do you have that Young will not continue to improve and be as good a quarterback or better than Bishop?

I guess I'm basing it on the past developments of your QB's after they set foot on the 40 acres.

Past QB's had very different styles, and results.

Vince has already progressed alot since his first action 25 games ago. If he continues at this rate, he will be a rich man in a year or two.
Mister T-Shirt
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Radio has become a better passer since he started his first game?

I know you aren't seriously going to claim that.

Simms had all the talent in the world. Everyone said just before the draft and right afterward "It'll be interesting to see what he can become with the proper coaching."

Face it, your QB coaches aren't highly thought of.

If Radio went to tceh, then I'd probably be saying he would be the Heisman frontrunner by now. He would be perfect in the short yardage 'run-and-shoot' style of offense.

Except he doesn't throw the short routes that well.

I don't know why that's more important than results, though. He's 17-2, and I put more blame on the coaches for those two losses than on Vince.

How many games do you watch? He's constantly behind on the short crossing patterns, and can't hit the curls and hooks (Roy Williams's standards) with any regularity.

Granted, a majority of this problem probably stems from the fact that our receivers are not Roy Williams. Hoping for a change this season.

What he's good at are the intermediate/deep posts and outs. Some of his greatest passes in college were fades to BJ Johnson and deep throws to Tony Jeffery and Limas Sweed. Which is good if you want to be an NFL QB, however, I think he gets fairly negative ratings for his short game. This would automatically exclude him from my draft list, but I'd like to see what he can bring to the table his Jr. year.

Where is your proof Vince scored an 810 on his SAT? You do realize A&M football players had two of the worst Wonderlic scores last year, right? It was a Miamiesque performance. The Aggie player that was arrested for drunk driving after cops said they heard him yell the "N" word at some people in front of him at the Whataburger drive in did well on his Wonderlic (at least).

What none of you seem to realize is that it's more than a numbers game to see who's better. Personally, I think Vince is better, but you look at the player as a whole, not just how many yards he threw for one year. For example, Randy Johnson was 16-14 last season. Looking from numbers alone, good pitchers don't lose 14 games a year, but his team sucked, so he did. But you're logic, does that make Randy Johnson a bad pitcher? I think not.
