Unfortunately, I do believe that he is going to have to sit out but I think its dumb to rank a student's hardship and have them go through hardship waivers when coaches are breaking contracts left and right.

So then how does it change with Penn State and Baylor players who were allowed to transfer without sitting out. Not even talking about the upperclassman. They allowed lowerclassman also and even incoming freshman.
life's tough for 5 star athletes that are thrown the red carpet everywhere they go, i suppose.x41133127x said:

My point is that a judgement of "hardship" is hard to make. If coaches are leaving left and right, why can't kids? It's their future...they aren't making money...let them chase their dreams and what's right for them. No coach is sitting out a year for breaking their contract. What makes Justin Fields "hardship" any more legit than Bru McCoys?
Eh...Whatever. I gave my .02. Have a good day fellas.
Has any team rented an OC for a couple of weeks to get a recruit to sign before? Definitely new territory for the NCAA.stick93 said:x41133127x said:

For the record, I think Fields should have to sit for a year as well. Regarding McCoy, if he is granted a waiver it will create a complete ****storm. The new thing is early enrollees. It would set the precedent that these kids could start class in January, give it a few weeks to see how things are going, drop their classes if necessary and jump into the portal and do it again somewhere else in the fall.
If there is no fear of having to sit out a year, a "try it before you buy it" culture could become the norm with these 4 and 5 stars.

without adding a single new recruit.
Simply stunning.
They didn't rent a coach to get a player. The world was shocked when Kliff got the offer with Arizona to be their head coach. There's no way USC was expecting this to happenlongeryak said:Has any team rented an OC for a couple of weeks to get a recruit to sign before? Did USC say they rented KK to get McCoy? Has KK said anything like this? Or is this you making **** up to somehow justify a waiver for him?longeryak said:Has any team rented an OC for a couple of weeks to get a recruit to sign before? Tom Herman has inherited the biggest honey hole in America - a two team conference with all the cards stacked in his favor. Yet he still lost to Maryland, twice. He still has yet to beat Oklahoma state. He has 10 losses in 2 years.
He appears to be building a Lego tower out of fools gold.
