So tomorrow the NLI becomes null and void, assuming tu doesn't admit him today. In fact, that's their only recourse right now, right?

Again, the wild card is how the UT provisional acceptance interacts with the NLI and how hard UT wants to push a legal case on our end. If we want to litigate this issue, and it seems like that's where Strong is leaning, then Lampkin could be well and truly $#@!ed and this thing could drag out with the NLI committee for a while.
Because a lawsuit with one Oklahoma school isn't enough?
quote:Yes, President Fenves can use his newly appointed powers to waive the university's admission requirements for the poor African-American kid from Cypress.......similar to what his predecessor did for all those rich white kids from Highland Park. Or not so similar.

I thought that was a state law requirement?? Fenves can't just waive that and still have him eligible under the NCAA rules, can he?? Not to mention the Big XII's rules. Partial qualifiers were prohibited long ago.

Yes, I agree. I believe 2 years of the same foreign language is required to be admitted to a public university in Texas.

In a way, they're doing him a favor this way. He'll be elegible tomorrow at OU - no transfer sit out rules or nothing. His NLI is straight up voided and Texas high school football players have found a new way to short circuit the system when the college coaches lie to them.
He redshirted his freshman year and has played the past 2. Still 2 years of eligibility left.ClassOf17 said:
Totally forgot about that dude. Does he still play?
aggiehawg said:Nah, Malik wasn't worth that. Strong wasn't a true factor. Momma wanted the sips even if a troll was the coach.Quote:Yeah, but in hindsight, he should have told Malik that he was bringing in Chobbit, and that Chobbit was under strict orders to keep it under wraps at all costs.Quote:Quote:Quote:Quote:
The more Charlie Strong talks, the more it becomes clear he is a dishonest two-faced hypocrite. He lied to his players at Louisville. Apparently he and/or Rumpf lied to Lampkin too. And his statements in his deposition for the Wickline lawsuit, wow, smh. What a clown show at utex.
And our coach wouldn't divulge the name of the new dc to a recruit, which likely resulted in him going elsewhere.
And? There was no lie there. Just smart business.
That was the point. A recruit wasn't worth Sumlin throwing away his integrity.
Malik will be on his 3rd DC when he leaves the sip program
