I didn't post the pics, but the chimneys seem too skinny in relation to the house and the chimney caps seem to big. I do not like this house... it makes my head hurt. Some of the issues I am having with it may simply be camera perspective.

That cabinet door faces towards the camera, not towards the wall. So it will open all the way, but short people cant reach ****

says its under contract so i guess in the end it probably didnt matter. you also have to realize there are a lot of people out there that dont think that way. they dont understand or care about things that will make those kinds of differences. half the country is dumber than a box of rocks, and that is being generous.

Or maybe just say "Hey, can you scoot out of the pic I'm about to take for the main listing image?" Good quality pics absolutely make a difference in the sales price and time on market.

Two possibilities for that house:

1. All the clocks are off and wrong leaving you searching for the right time
2. All the clocks are working and ticking

Both sound terrible.

I don't understand people's desire to seemingly keep everything they've ever purchased.

I'm probably In the minority here but I hate nick nacks, collectibles, displays, and clutter.

The needs for all of the above seem like borderline mental disorders.

I guess I would have a hard time differentiating between someone who finds great comfort in the presence of knickknacks and someone who finds great distress in the presence of knickknacks.

Certainly I, and almost anyone, would find the number of clocks to be, uh, undesirable but I wouldn't say having them on a wall and bringing you pleasure to be a disorder. At the point in time where it hinders your ability to function - you can't stop looking online for clocks or going to estate sales, you can't navigate your house due to the clutter, your relationship with a family member is harmed due to your obsession - then it's a problem.

I do think they are a light hoarder, the bathroom in particular was bad, but it was fairly organized overall. My FIL and MIL are worse, piles of stuff impact usability of some of their rooms. Their living room and master bedroom are pretty untouched though, so they can manage it.

Fair enough. My parents kept a lot of junk. Always drove me crazy as a kid. Probably drove me to the other end of the spectrum. I keep very few sentimental things, probably one storage bin in the attic from my childhood. My general rule is if I haven't used it in a year and can't think of a specific situation where it would be used in the future then it goes to the donation pile.

Those people are most definitely hoarders. They are also slobs. Maybe not the worst example of it, but that house is a mess!

Every single room has crap visible in the picture that should be put away in a drawer, cabinet, or closet. But I bet it can't be put away because every drawer, cabinet, and closet is full!

The master bathroom is the worst, but the entry way has a dirty broom, both living rooms have trash or something on the coffee tables, the dining room has cardboard boxes and cleaning supplies, the kitchen has some sort of Kobalt tool on the counter, the breakfast room has pill bottles on the table, the sofa in the sunroom has junk on it, one bedroom has dirty clothes on a chair, another room that I don't know what it is has cardboard boxes on the floor, the office/exercise room has an open cabinet with an open tool box beside it, with a plugged in drill just sitting on the floor,
the secondary bathroom has junk on the counter and cords hanging out of a drawer, and the other bedroom has dirty shoes on the floor.

Ugh, I could go on, but then I'd be the crazy one!

The amount of mess in that house that they couldn't be bothered to put away before the photographer came tells me they know a buyer wants the property for the land and not the house.

It's all scary to think that's how it looks after the DID complete a cleanup and staging attempt.

Whoever the lucky winner of that inheritance is will just say to hell with it and estate sale everything!
