what Blair accomplished after what Peggy Gillom left behind is one of the greatest coaching accomplishments in women's basketball history. His first real recruiting class that he built from absolutely nothing (which included Aqua and Atunrase) ended up winning the conference tournament before they were done. That success led to signing Tyra White and Sydney Colson, who were the top recruits in the state in their class if memory serves.
It's no surprise he had a good staff along the way and I've no doubt he's immensely proud of that. But to pretend that 2011 team was "lightning in a bottle" shows you don't have any idea what happened in the 10 years prior.
We prefer virtue signaling over winning…though Blair built the fan base retail. Because the school is terrible at marketing.Lake08 said:Divining Rod said:Quote:

What Nixter said x1,000. It's aggravating when those who have no concept of our bb history fail to understand (or maybe even KNOW) what Gary Blair did for this program. And the WAY he did it FAR EXCEEDS anything Mulkey could have done as far as being the face of the program. I would be embarrassed to have her as the face of Texas A&M women's basketball.
If you think Blair is/was a better coach than Mulkey, then you're clueless

I don't know what kind of Ag you are, though I have a clue. Yes, there are and should be limits to what we're willing to sacrifice for a national championship, or three. You have yours and a lot of us have ours.greg.w.h said:Lake08 said:Divining Rod said:Quote:

it's just funny how she begs for attention. Why she dresses like this. Also always the first to pat herself on the back. She's desperate for attention.Lake08 said:
Gary is a great coach, but can't hold a candle to kim
You are being dishonest. The question you posed was whether we should have hired Mulkey over Blair. That's not the same at all.Lake08 said:aggiedrjdub said:

It's over. Told y'all Kim vs Gary. No comparison
Well because they acted like trash. I'm beginning to wonder if it's possible for a team from LSU to win with any level of class.Bucketrunner said:
I don't think I've ever seen social media talk so badly about a national championship team as they are about LSU, Mulkey , and Reese. 95% are pro Iowa - even the SEC teams
Trash? Maybe. Certainly looks like a washed up hooker on the sidelines.Charlie 31 said:
