Nixon deserves all the love she gets for this one. The rest of the team hung in there but I hope they do whatever they need to get some energy going....and practice making the bunnies. If we had made even half the point blank misses we win with ease.

Okay folks, I had to mute the TV the whole 4th quarter and overtime. I only un-muted it to see what the calls were and when they interviewed Jordan. I was too damn nervous!

Is that the least aware play by play announcer of all time? You block their best player at the basket with 5 seconds left in OT, drive the length of the floor for the game-winning shot and get that call?

Good defense by Johnson on Joens late in the game. She came over and double-teamed her and wouldn't let her make a move to the basket.

Ciera played defense well. Iowa State played out of their minds tonight! We've played 2 teams that have literally played their best games of the season and we've struggled but all we do is win win win!!!!

A few thoughts:
1. You aren't supposed to win the game when your opponent hits sixteen 3s. That took guts to keep fighting until the very last seconds of regulation and OT. The team we saw in the first round would have rolled over and died. Tonight's team chose to battle.

2. Jordan Nixon just put out one of the all-time best performances in Aggie sports history. Very few people have matched that output on this big of a stage in an Aggie uniform.

3. If you didn't see her postgame interview, find it. Her poise and maturity pours through along with what must have been tears of both relief and elation. What a great representative of the team and school. Bravo.
