That's a big red flag for me on crypto.


I've said it before but the vast, vast majority of the crypto market is the equivalent of dabbling in penny stocks with a sexier facade and probably bigger chance of ROI simply because so many people are playing it right now.

Disagree.
I think it is for those new to the space and those not tech/app savvy. Many folks hear about BTC and have no clue where or how to buy it. These make it far more simple and accessible for them.

Yes, I mean mostly ethnics and minorities.

Isn't this true for most anything you buy at a "convenience" store? But yeah, I'll pay extra for drink or a snack when in a hurry, but I'm not making any investments at a convenience store. Yikes...

It's at a Mexican gas station (good tacos!) in Little Elm, so yes. But I can see it is a way to buy BTC and allow illicit transactions under the radar. It would be interesting to see if the owner of this reports transactions over the legal amount. This machine does ask for a cell phone, not sure what else it asks for.

How is that different than a person identifying a problem, creating a better mousetrap, and creating a company to try and monetize the mousetrap?

Comparing investing in alts to investing in penny stocks has done many times and is valid, imo.
