Get yourself a trezor or ledger or other reputable hard wallet.

If you just open an account on an exchange, all you have is someone's IOU, not a "real" wallet.

To fund your own wallet, there are quite a variety of avenues.
1. Person to person [buy/sell/trade]
2. Exchanges
3. Mining

I almost respect the super obvious, over-the-top marketing. There's not even an attempt to make it not seem like a scam. Just totally leaning into it.

I get it, but how many alts are Partnered with the sub of a publicly traded company? I told everyone about that here and there was skepticism. LITH continues to evolve and partner with known, legitimate entities.

Personally, I feel there is real potential there, but yes I could be wrong.

Also I believe Andrew is referring to the entity Wallstreetbets, not just a Twitter account. I'm the one that inserted the @.

I've seen all kinds of partnerships in the space... this is relatively underwhelming.

Now on the other hand, Jaime (@wallstreetbets on Twitter) would not be against promoting it because breaking the advertising rule is exactly how he got kicked off his own sub.

I've had the BlockFi card for about a month. I will use it up to the $3k in 3 months to get the bonus then I think I'll go back to my Fold debit card primarily and just use the BlockFi card where I need/want to use a credit card or if the spin wheel is really bad (only happened 2 or 3 times I can remember).

Downside to BlockFi - you get points that are converted to bitcoin on the 2nd Friday of the month. So you don't get the Number Go Up tech benefit of Bitcoin across a month (Fold you get your sats at time of spin, not some future date). I am hoping they improve the rewards as more products enter the space and maybe I'll change my usage.

Is that debit? And is it "use cash get BTC" or do you have to use BTC to get BTC back?

I want to passively gain crypto, I had a crypto-back debit card but it defeated the purpose because I had to use the coins to get coin back. I want my crypto balance to go up, not down, when making purchases.

Hope it pumps leading up to release. I am planning to take out my initial investment before the launch date.

Yes, Fold is current debit only and it is spend USD, get Bitcoin back. You don't need to spend and at 50,000 sats you can withdraw to your own wallet for no fee. They have gamified the rewards so you spin a wheel to win sats back as well as % back in sats on gift cards (5% on Amazon for the first $500 each month). I've stacked a lot of sats with them.

I have tried both Breez and BlueWallet for their custodial lightning wallets. I like BlueWallet the best as I could never get Breez backed up, however Breez has more features like streaming sats for podcasts.

I went with the premium card, back when I started with the card in November they had some other promos but even without those I've gotten my $150 back and more. I don't love the gamification all the time but it is nice when you hit a good spot. I've gotten 100% back on airport parking and hitting $5 on a $10 purchase is nice too.
